How to Cook
Make sure to prepare the salmon, potato chips and some vegetables. We will start off with preparing the vegetables and start simmering them. What’s great about the rice cooker is that it usually comes with a steaming bowl. We’ll proceed with cutting up the veggies and just placing it in the rice cooker.
Once you’ve peeled your potato, rinse the skins out so you can get rid of the starch and use a paper towel. Just lay it in there and let them dry. Put the potato aside for now. Do the same thing for your carrots’ peelings. And then also set them aside. Next is to take the broccoli stems and steam it.
Start air – frying some of the potatoes. Make sure to put a tablespoon of olive oil in the air fryer. Then mix the rest of the potatoes with the veggies and start steaming it.
Get your salmon, make sure to remove some bones using a clipper and just slice through the skin and leave a bit of meat on the skin if you want. Use a pan and heat it up to medium temperature then put on a tablespoon of olive oil before you place your salmon. Make sure to place the skin side of the salmon on the pan and not the other way around.
The trick to cooking salmon for you is to just leave it in the pan and let it cook by itself. Don’t try to flip it around often like how you would when you’re cooking other types of fishes. Don’t worry because you’ll see and know when the salmon is cooked by noticing the skin of it getting fried. Once the skin is somewhat fried, you can then flip it to let the meat get cooked.
Once it’s all cooked up, you can take it off the burner and just let it cool. Meanwhile, you can already prepare the steamed veggies and air fried potatoes. Just mix all the steam veggies into one bowl, and then put the salmon on top of it. You can now sprinkle the fried potato peelings and place the salmon skin into the bowl as well.
How to Make Berry Smoothies
Once you have your food processor ready, fill it up with any kind of berry you prefer and water. Make sure to remove all of the stems. Put it in the processor and then press the steam button. Make sure to steam it for 15 minutes.
There are some food processors that has a helpful guide on the side of the machine for you to know how long to steam each type of food. For instance, greens are supposed to be steamed for 10 minutes while fruits are at 15 minutes. For meats and veggies, it’s around 20 to 30 minutes.
After steaming the berries, you can remove the liquid from the bowl and pour it in your container for later. That berries juice is also great to feed kids if you have, or you can also use it to add to the puree. Once you’ve done that, take the berries back to the food processor and press the button.
Get some carrot and peel the skin off. You can also do the same thing with sweet potato or butternut squash. For butternut squash however, you must heat it up in the microwave for a few minutes so you can easily peel of the skin.
Slice the carrots and chop it. And same with the fruits, you just place it in the food processor but this time you have to steam it for 20 minutes. Once that’s done, take out the juice again, and place the carrots back to the blender.
If you find that the is too thick for your palette; what you can do is just a little bit more of water into your blender to thin it down, then put it back and continue doing the blending.
Slice the peaches in half. Open it up and just pull out the pit. Then put the slices in the steamer basket of the blender. Once you do that, you can easily peel the skin off of the fruit. Just put the peach back in the blender and blend it for another 10 minutes.
Pour the fruit on the cup of your choice and you can actually store it that way. Make sure to cool it a bit before you put the lid on especially before you drink or serve it.
